TURF ACCOUNTANTS BURGLED

Thieves stole more than £10,000 from the premises of Wagley's High Class Family Turf Emporium at the weekend. Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything out of the ordinary between 9.30pm on Friday and 7.00am Saturday. Police spokesman P.C. Bernard Tiddle (32) said: "We can't understand why no-one heard the burglar alarm, it's uncanny." The investigation is continuing.
