There was great excitement in Brampton last Tuesday during the visit of the highly reclusive and little known member of the Royal family, His Royal Highness Prince Hubert, Duke of Burnhampton. Cheering crowds surrounded the Prince and Brampton's recently elected Mayor, Melvyn Brisket, during the opening ceremony of the newly built Royal Memorial toilets on Main Road; after the short ceremony His Highness was treated to a guided tour of the cream of Brampton's other lavatories before being taken for a formal pie and pea supper with the Mayor and local Councillors kindly provided by Everard & Ernest Gristle, of Gristle Bros. Catering Ltd., Brampton. However, concerns are now growing regarding the event after suggestions that the visitor was not actually Prince Hubert, but one Humphrey Dross, an expert confidence trickster who escaped from custody a few weeks ago. A council spokesman stated: "Unfortunately, few people have seen Prince Hubert in the flesh, but he knew a great deal about quality porcelain urinals and after viewing the regal way he ate his peas, coupled with the crown tattoo on his left hand, we are confident it was His Highness and not an impostor, as has been suggested by certain parties."
