Brampton Stinks!

Councillors are looking into complaints from the residents of Phlegm Close and Cack Lane, Brampton, about fumes and foul stenches emanating from the vicinity of Sodde Hall Health Spa. The leader of the local Neighbourhood Accusation and Grievance Group, Mrs. Constance Harping (61) explained, "It stinks of rotting fish and other indescribable things all the time the wind is in our direction, there are no council houses here and we don't pay our taxes for this sort of thing - it's not as if we were in rented housing". When asked why no complaints had been made from any other streets in the area she replied; "My husband is on oxygen most of the time and wears ear plugs because of it - it's disgraceful that they should be allowed to get away with this sort of thing - the council should force them to move to a poor district, then decent people wouldn't have to complain. Our cat, Bonzo, has been on tablets for his nerves and a course of hypnotherapy". At the time of this report the wind was from the south and only the sewage works could be detected.
